The Republican budget bill proposed by the House of Representatives could enforce major changes to Medicaid and SNAP, but there are also significant updates to federal student loans included in the bill.

House GOP leaders are pressing lawmakers to get on board with the massive framework that includes Trump’s priorities on energy, border, national security and tax reform.

On a visit to Capitol Hill, the president tells House Republicans "don't f--- with Medicaid" in the budget bill. But, as it stands the Congressional Budget Office estimates the legislation could result in 8 million people losing coverage.
