Anti-Israel protesters gathered at Parliament Square to challenge a ban on support for Palestine Action, arguing it is an illegal restriction on freedom of speech.

British police said they arrested 365 people in central London as supporters of a recently banned pro-Palestinian group intentionally flouted the law as part of their effort to force the government to reconsider the ban.

The Metropolitan Police did not impose a blanket 28-day ban on protesting outside a London hotel that was the scene of anti-immigration demonstrations last week, contrary to social media posts misrepresenting a police order that was issued to a specific group.
