Charges have been filed against a Missouri man who admitted he attacked a beloved pet dog with a hammer and left it with serious head injuries.
Around 2 a.m., he was released from the jail and given a “courtesy” ride by deputies to a hospital, the lawsuit said. A jail officer then “lied” to hospital staff to “cover-up the true facts that he and other” employees were “indifferent to (the man’s) serious medical needs,” according to the lawsuit.
Some legislators in both chambers objected to the move since the House unexpectedly failed to pass the part of the budget funding capital improvement projects across the state last week.
