OU led 5-1 heading into the fifth inning before the Longhorns struck five runs in the frame to take a 6-5 lead. Sooners starter Cade Crossland was responsible for all the runs scored in the inning as Texas battered Oklahoma pitching to the tune of four hits, two walks and a hit batter in the fifth.

Despite allowing Texas to take its first lead of the game in the fifth inning, the Sooners rallied late to even the series.

Max Belyeu announced his return to the Texas lineup with a presence, ripping a three-run home run in the ninth to break a 4-4 tie for a 7-4 win over Oklahoma at Dale Mitchell Park in Norman Thursday night to clinch at least a share of the Longhorns' first SEC championship.
