The Green Bay Packers submitted a revised proposal looking to eliminate plays like the ‘tush push’ that the Eagles have used to perfection.
According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler on SportsCenter, the vote from NFL owners to ban the tush push is expected to be "pretty close" with approval needed from 24 of the 32 owners to pass.
"In the Packers’ new revision, which will be voted on this Tuesday and Wednesday, pushing and pulling any ball carrier would be banned — just like the NFL had it back in 2005. If other owners opposed the original ban due to language concerns, this change should certainly alleviate that.
A vote is expected on Wednesday on the proposal by the Packers to prohibit the tush push play popularized by the reigning Super Bowl champion Eagles.
