Lando Norris has his first Formula 1 pole position in more than two months at the Monaco Grand Prix. Now he needs his first win since then to boost his title chances. There usually is no better place to be on pole position than Monaco, where overtaking is near-impossible, but a new rule change could shake up everything.

Charles Leclerc was furious when pole position at his home Grand Prix was snatched away from him by F1 rival Lando Norris. A scintillating lap put the Monegasque on provisional pole towards the end of Q3, and he stayed there right up until Norris pipped him by just over a tenth of a second.
