Letters to the Editor - June 2, 2025 Closing the Chisos Mountains and one of the most beautiful areas of Big Bend National Park for two years or more is a very big mistake.

The Chisos Mountains Lodge will close on June 11, followed by the restaurant's closure on June 12. Campgrounds, group camps, and the visitor center remain open until Aug. 31.
