Both are state-listed as endangered and can be found in West Texas in desert scrub or woodland habitats within scattered mountain ranges, predominantly the Chisos and Guadalupe Mountains.

The Chisos Mountains Lodge will close on June 11, followed by the restaurant's closure on June 12. Campgrounds, group camps, and the visitor center remain open until Aug. 31.
