  1. Depth-First Search (DFS) is a graph/tree traversal algorithm that explores as far as possible along each branch before backtracking. It’s useful for tasks like maze solving, cycle detection, and exploring decision trees.

    Example – Recursive DFS on a Graph:

    from collections import defaultdict

    class Graph:
    def __init__(self):
    self.graph = defaultdict(list)

    def add_edge(self, u, v):
    self.graph[u].append(v)

    def dfs_util(self, v, visited):
    visited.add(v)
    print(v, end=' ')
    for neighbour in self.graph[v]:
    if neighbour not in visited:
    self.dfs_util(neighbour, visited)

    def dfs(self, start):
    visited = set()
    self.dfs_util(start, visited)

    # Usage
    g = Graph()
    g.add_edge(0, 1)
    g.add_edge(0, 2)
    g.add_edge(1, 2)
    g.add_edge(2, 0)
    g.add_edge(2, 3)
    g.add_edge(3, 3)

    print("DFS starting from vertex 2:")
    g.dfs(2)
    Copied!

    Output: 2 0 1 3 Here, DFS starts at 2, explores deeply before backtracking.
