  1. Creating a System Restore Point

    1. Press Windows logo key + R to open the Run dialog box.

    2. Type Sysdm.cpl and press Enter to open System Properties.

    3. Switch to the System Protection tab.

    4. Check the protection status of your system drive: If On, proceed to the next step. If Off, select your system drive, click Configure, choose Turn on system protection, and click Apply.

    5. Click Create, enter a description for the restore point, and click Create again.

    6. Wait for the process to complete. A confirmation message will appear once the restore point is successfully created.

    Restoring from a System Restore Point

    1. Press Windows logo key + R, type Sysdm.cpl, and press Enter to open System Properties.

    2. Go to the System Protection tab and click System Restore.

    3. In the System Restore wizard, click Next.

    4. Select a restore point from the list. To see more options, check Show more restore points.

    5. Click Scan for affected programs to view programs and drivers that will be removed or restored.

    6. Click Next, then Finish, and confirm by clicking Yes to restart your system and begin the restoration process.

    7. Once completed, a message will confirm the successful restoration.
